We announced the tour to Israel to both congregations the weekend of June 20th, 2021. Brochures have been getting picked up and regular conversations are being had. Questions like, “Would this trip be appropriate for my children to come on?” or “When will we have our first meeting regarding the trip?”
The answer to the first question about kids is an easy one, if you, as the parent are comfortable managing them at their current state of maturity on the tour, then by all means, bring them. If you are unsure, it may be helpful to have them wait for a trip like this one. The second question is more wide open. We will likely wait til the end of summer and the start of the school year to host our first information meeting. But it will happen before the first cut off for discounted rates based on timing of application submissions.
When you are thinking about whether this is the right trip for you, here are some questions to consider: Have you been thinking about a Holy Land trip and wondering about when would be the right time? Have you always wondered what it would be like to be on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus calmed the storms? Have you often wondered when reading through the bible what it must have felt like to walk up the steps to the temple, or to be near the tomb where the body of Jesus lay for those three days?
